Galvanized Iron Wire production processing:
The different production process between hot-dipped galvanized wire and electro galvanized wire:
Hot-dipped galvanized wire: Steel rod coil -- wire drawing -- annealing -- rust removing -- acid washing -- zinc plating -- wire coiling.
Electro galvanized wire: steel rod coil -- wire drawing -- wire annealing -- rust removing -- acid washing -- boiling -- drying -- zinc feeding -- wire coiling.
Barbed wire isn't that difficult to make but it does take a lot of time and considerable strength. The process used to make it will be very taxing to your physical well-being. Expect to have hurts hands at the end as well as being bleeding in at least one spot on your body. In the following article I will teach you how to make barbed wire by yourself.
Step 1 - Cutting the Wire
Determine how much barbed wire you wish to make. It is a good idea to make a very small piece so you get the hang of how it is done and to see if you still wish to try. Since you already know how long you want the barbed wire to be you can easily determine how many barbs you will require. Take the total feet of the wire and change that into inches then divide those 2-4 inches depending on if you want barbs every 2 inches or every 4 inches. Cut a stretch of wire and then cut that wire into 4-inch long pieces for as many barbs as you need.
Step 2 - Twisting Pair
Safety is a priority and a very real concern. You cannot easily twist wire. Line the two pieces of wire up next to each. Grip both wires somewhere down the line with the wrench. Grip the other end with the pliers. With a firm grip begin twisting the two strands of wire until they are one piece. Continue down the length of the wire until both wires are firmly twisted together.
Step 3 - Making the Barbs
Wrapping barbs around the wire is no easy task. The barbs work double duty to make sure the twisted pair wire stays together as well as the acting security deterrent. Choose an end to start with and place the twisted wire on top of the barb. Place a concrete block on top of the twisted wire to weight it down. Grip each end of the barb with the pliers and wrench then pull them toward each other. Continue doing this until the barb is coiled around the wire two to three times. Add as many barbs as you want then snip the ends on an angle to form a point.
Following these three steps mentioned above, you can successfully make barbed wire by yourself. Remember to keep safety during this project.
Barbed Wire application:
Barbed wire fence is widely used for road, railway, high-way, etc fence facilities.
